UVIG Wind Turbine/Plant Operations & Maintenance Users Group MeetingApril 2-4, 2013 - Charleston, SC Inquire about RegistrationAgendaThis event will be the eleventh meeting under the UVIG Turbine Operations & Maintenance Users Group's scope, membership requirements, and participation limitations. The morning of April 2 will consist of a Plenary Session open to user group members and interested parties from UVIG member organizations. The Plenary Session at this meeting will delve in to SCADA data and plantwide control. The group will hear perspectives from four speakers:
Following the presentation from each of the speakers, we will have a panel discussion with open dialogue between the UVIG membership and the speakers. That afternoon, as well as the morning of April 3, will consist of vendor product-specific Roundtable Forums for user group members only. The format consists of open discussions, moderated by a Roundtable chair, centered on a specific wind turbine component or specific model of wind turbine. The Roundtable provides the opportunity for frank and open discussion among users, who share their information, knowledge and experience. There will be a networking and awards reception held the evening of April 2 that is open to all meeting attendees. There will also be a networking luncheon on April 3 for those attending the roundtables that day. The afternoon of April 3 will also feature the second meeting of UVIG's Balance-of-Plant Discussion Roundtable. This event is open to user group members only and will serve as a forum for frank discussion about various aspects of balance-of-plant and other non turbine-specific issues. The morning of April 4 will feature the second meeting of UVIG's Solar O&M Roundtable. This will serve as a forum for a frank discussion about various aspects of solar generation operations and maintenance. Optional Tour There will be two opportunities on April 4 to tour the Clemson Restoration Institute Wind Turbine Drivetrain Test Facility. This first-of-a-kind facility, under construction at the former Charleston Navy Yard, will provide attendees the opportunity to see a 7.5 MW test rig as well as a grid simulator. A tour will be offered in the morning and in the afternoon that day. Bus transportation will be provided from the hotel to the facility and then to Charleston International Airport. Please note that registration for this activity will close on March 28.
