UWIG Wind Turbine Operations and Maintenance Users Group Meeting

This meeting is the fourth to take place under the UWIG Turbine Operations & Maintenance Users Group's new scope, membership requirements, and participation limitations. The morning will consist of a Plenary Session open to user group members and interested parties from UWIG member organizations. The Plenary Session at this meeting will focus on condition-based monitoring. The afternoon will consist of vendor product-specific Roundtable Forums for user group members only. These forums are open discussions, moderated by a Roundtable chair, centered on a specific wind turbine component or specific model of wind turbine. The Roundtable provides the opportunity for frank and open discussion among users, who share their information, knowledge and experience. The Vestas Roundtable and the GE Roundtable will meet and the Siemens Roundtable will hold its inaugural meeting.
Attendees will have the opportunity on October 7 to tour the Clipper Turbine Works manufacturing facility. This tour is available to individuals affiliated with utilities, system operators, developers, government employees, and consultants, but not other turbine or component manufacturers. Registration for this tour is limited to the first 25 individuals and participants must be cleared by UWIG and Clipper management. Registration for this tour will close on September 30. The tour will board at the Cedar Rapids Marriott at 8:30 and will end with attendees dropped off at the airport at 11:30 and any remaining individuals at the Marriott at noon.

Getting to Cedar Rapids and the Marriott
Cedar Rapids Eastern Iowa Airport is the closest airport, however flights can be limited and airfare is expensive. Attendees may want to consider Quad City International Airport, which is about an hour and a half drive from Cedar Rapids. The Cedar Rapids Marriott offers a complimentary shuttle from and to Cedar Rapids Eastern Iowa Airport.

Note that registration for the other user group meetings, as well as the Fall Technical Workshop, will be conducted separately. All registrations will be confirmed via e-mail upon receipt if a valid e-mail address is provided.

Cancellations and Refunds
All requests for refunds must be submitted to UWIG in writing.
Requests received by September 30 - receive refund less $75 administrative fee.
Requests received by October 5 - receive refund less $200 administrative fee.
Unless there are extreme circumstances, no refunds will be made for cancellations received after October 5 or for no-shows.
Registrants who have not paid by October 1 will need to make arrangements to pay in advance via credit card or risk having their registrations cancelled.
