UWIG Fall Technical Workshop
Western Roundup of Wind Integration
October 23-25, 2006 - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
The UWIG Fall Technical Workshop explored key issues related to deployment of wind energy across the US
and Canada, as well as Europe. It featured presentations and discussion on
recent integration and operation experience, grid code evolution and experience;
regional and national developments; international experience; and markets and
more.
The workshop took place along with meetings of the UWIG User Groups
and a tour of the Blue Canyon Wind Farm near Lawton, Oklahoma. The workshop was
followed by a meeting of Annex 25 of the International Energy Agency, The Integration of Large Wind Plants into Utility Systems. A joint session on European experience
was held during the workshop, providing an excellent opportunity to hear first hand from some of Europe’s leading experts on wind integration.
On this page can be found the agenda and overview presentation for this
workshop. The Utility Wind Integration Group is pleased to make available the
presentations for the session on European wind experience, featuring several of
the participants in the IEA Annex 25 meeting.
