UWIG Fall Technical Workshop
Wind Integration: Focus on the Value of Wind Forecasting

November 7-9, 2005 - Sacramento, California

The UWIG Fall Technical Workshop explored key issues related to deployment of wind energy across the US with a focus on the Western United States and Canada. It included presentations and discussion on wind forecasting, utility transmission system operation; regional wind developments; and US, Canadian, and European work on wind interconnection and integration. Participants learned about challenges and opportunities for integrating wind power to meet growing demands for clean energy.

The workshop took place along with meetings of the UWIG User Groups and a tour of the California Independent System Operator and local wind facilities.

On this page can be found the agenda and overview presentation for this workshop. The Utility Wind Interest Group, now the Utility Wind Integration Group, is pleased to make available the presentations for the session "Wind Forecasting: What Does it all Mean?"
