UWIG Wind Turbine Operations and Maintenance Users Group MeetingMarch 25, 2009 - Austin, Texas This Meeting Has Been Cancelled - Please send e-mail to info@uwig.org for details In an effort to better serve the needs of its core membership, the UWIG Distributed Wind Applications User Group will meet on March 25, 2009 at the Renaissance Hotel in Austin, Texas from 1 to 5 pm. This meeting is being held in co-location with the American Public Power Association’s Engineering & Operations Conference. The agenda for this meeting will focus on enhancements to the UWIG Distributed Wind Analytical Tools, LVRT interaction with IEEE 1547, and case studies. This meeting is open to UWIG members, APPA DEED program members, and NRECA CRN members. Most of the rooms at the hotel are being utilized by APPA meeting attendees. Meeting RegistrationOn-line registration is available to UWIG members, APPA DEED members, and NRECA CRN members. APPA members should confirm their participation in DEED before registering. Registrations will be confirmed via e-mail upon receipt if a valid e-mail address is provided. The registration fee is $125, APPA and NRECA members can receive registration/travel assistance to attend this meeting. The Public Power Partnership effort led by Western Area Power Administration on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy Wind and Hydropower Technologies Program, is offering thirty $500 travel scholarships to electric cooperatives and public power utilities to attend a UWIG meeting. To qualify for the scholarship, your employer must be a member of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association or the American Public Power Association, have never previously attended a UWIG meeting, and submitted a scholarship request and received a confirmation e-mail. Cancellations and RefundsAll requests for refunds must be submitted to UWIG in writing. Requests received by March 18 - receive full refund. Requests received by March 24 - receive refund less $50 administrative fee. Unless there are extreme circumstances, no refunds will be made for cancellations received after March 24 or for no-shows.
