UWIG Annual Meeting
A Capital View of Wind Integration
April 5-7, 2006 - Washington, DC
The UWIG Annual Meeting explored key issues related to deployment of wind energy across the US and Canada, as well as Europe. It featured presentations and discussion on high wind penetration, balancing areas, interconnection studies, turbine technology, and integration study updates. Participants
learned about challenges and opportunities for integrating wind power to meet growing demands for clean energy.
The annual meeting included the UWIG membership meeting and board election as well as presentation of the UWIG Annual Achievement Award, meetings of the UWIG User Groups and a tour of
the Mountaineer Wind Energy Facility.
