UWIG Annual Meeting
A Capital View of Wind Integration

April 5-7, 2006 - Washington, DC

The UWIG Annual Meeting explored key issues related to deployment of wind energy across the US and Canada, as well as Europe. It featured presentations and discussion on high wind penetration, balancing areas, interconnection studies, turbine technology, and integration study updates. Participants learned about challenges and opportunities for integrating wind power to meet growing demands for clean energy.

The annual meeting included the UWIG membership meeting and board election as well as presentation of the UWIG Annual Achievement Award, meetings of the UWIG User Groups and a tour of the Mountaineer Wind Energy Facility.

On this page can be found the agenda and overview presentation for this workshop. The Utility Wind Integration Group is pleased to make available the presentations for the session "High Wind Penetration Implications."
