Public Renewables Partnership Webcast: Grid Interconnection and Impacts

Held December 8, 2005

The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), the U.S. Department of Energy's Wind Powering America Program, the American Public Power Association (APPA), and Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) hosted a teleconference December 8, 2005 on the integration of wind energy into electric cooperative and public power systems. This event was part of a series of teleconferences offered through the Public Renewables Partnership.  NRECA, Wind Powering America, APPA, and WAPA are partnering with UWIG to offer a wind interconnection workshop January 19-20, 2006 at the Western Area Power Administration's Electric Power Training Center in Golden, CO.

As a service to our members as well as utilities interested in wind generation, UWIG is pleased to provide the presentations from the December 8 webcast.
