DistribuTECH Wind and Transmission Panel

The Utility Wind Integration Group teamed with Pennwell to put together the panel "Putting Wind on the Wires: T&D Grid Initiatives and Technology to Support the Growth of Wind Power" Presented at the DistribuTECH 2007 conference in San Diego, this session featured a cross-section of utilities and technology providers discussing the issue, laying out the challenges and discussing current initiatives and possible technology solutions for beefing up the US transmission system to support the growth of wind and other renewable power sources.
Chaired by UWIG Communications Coordinator Sandy Smith, this panel included
